Mosquito Guide

To effectively deal with mosquitoes, it’s important to take several precautionary measures. First, using mosquito repellents containing DEET or Picaridin on exposed skin can significantly reduce bites. Wearing long sleeves and pants, particularly during dawn and dusk when mosquitoes are most active, provides additional protection. Eliminating standing water around your home is crucial, as mosquitoes breed in stagnant water, so be sure to drain any containers, flowerpots, or birdbaths. Installing window and door screens can help keep mosquitoes out, and using mosquito nets while sleeping is essential in areas with high mosquito activity.

Use window screens and sleep under a mosquito net if necessary. Planting mosquito-repellent plants like citronella and lavender can also help keep them away.
